The Hypercharger Series is Getting an Upgrade
HYC150/300 becomes HYC200/400
Starting in 2023, alpitronic has expanded the Hypercharger family with new models. The HYC150 is gradually being replaced by the HYC200, and the HYC300 by the HYC400. While the casing and dimensions of the new chargers remain the same, the technological upgrades are significant:
- Power output of the power stacks increase from 75 to 100 kW
- Granularity of charging power in 50 kW steps
- Increased efficiency, reaching up to 97%
- Two parallel charging sessions possible with just one power stack
- Transition from silicon to silicon carbide technology
- Maximum charging power increases to 200 kW / 400 kW

alpitronic HYC50 Wallbox
The alpitronic HYC50 DC wallbox is designed for (semi-)public use cases and can be mounted freestanding, on a pedestal, or directly on a wall. Two vehicles can be charged simultaneously with 25 kW each, or one vehicle with 50 kW. Additionally, the wallbox supports bidirectional charging, making it compatible with V2G (vehicle-to-grid) technology.

The Hypercharger HYC200 delivers a maximum charging output of 200 kW and, like all stations in the Hypercharger series, is designed for public use. The HYC200 features an increased power ouptut compared to its predecessor HYC150, and offers simultaneous charging sessions with just one Power Stack.

- Up to 2 power stacks with 100 kW each, maximum of 200 kW total power
- 2 independent CCS or CHAdeMO charging points, with an additional Type 2 socket for AC connection
- Slim, powder-coated casing
- Integrated 15.6" color display, also available in an accessible version with a lowered display

With a maximum charging power of 400 kW, the HYC400 is the most powerful charging station in the Hypercharger series. It is particularly well-suited for use in fast charging infrastructures, supporting common charging standards such as CCS or CHAdeMO, and provides a pleasant charging experience through its user-friendly interface.
